Best Cat Mesh in Singapore (2026): 10 Providers Compared by Strength and Fit
Ten cat mesh providers in Singapore side by side: stated load rating, mesh material, frame type, drill or no-drill and warranty, drawn from what each publishes.
Cat mesh has gone from a niche thing to a normal home upgrade in Singapore. Under the Cat Management Framework, licensed owners must keep cats in a safe environment, and AVS gives installing mesh or grilles to stop cats falling from height as the example, with the licensing transition ending 31 August 2026. So a lot of people are shopping for cat mesh at once, and the options have multiplied.
This is a cat-only roundup. We have left out insect-only screens and stuck to ten providers that sell something specifically for cats, in no particular order: Magic Cat Mesh, us (MeshMates), Clario, BlindNet, Luxus, Irusu, Oneko, Mozziefy, BlindXpert and The Cat People (for safety nets). We are one of the ten, so we will keep this to what each provider publishes and let you do the comparing. For the wider field including insect mesh, our best window mesh in Singapore guide is the hub.
How we compared
Every fact about another provider below comes from that provider's own website or its official retail listing, checked in August 2026. Where a provider does not publish a number, we say so rather than guessing. That is not a criticism: many installers prefer to quote after a site visit. It just means you should ask for the figure in writing before you pay a deposit.
The five things we looked for are the five things that decide whether a mesh is right for a cat home: stated load rating, mesh material, frame type, drill or no-drill installation and warranty. We do not publish prices, ours or anyone's, because every quote depends on the windows. Our 10 questions to ask before buying cat mesh covers why each one matters.
1. Magic Cat Mesh
Magic Cat Mesh has been cat-focused since 2019 and is probably the most recognised name on this list. Their retractable mesh uses a scratch-resistant vinyl-coated polyester and PVC weave, is described as strong enough for cats up to 20 kg, and closes with a spin lock. Installation is drill-free and removable, which they position for HDB flats and rentals, and they cover balconies as well as windows. Their homepage lists a 1-year warranty on mesh products. If you want other options in the same category, see our Magic Cat Mesh alternatives piece.
2. MeshMates
We are on this list too, so here is what we publish. We sell five retractable models so the frame matches the cat: Core (50+ kg, our most popular cat mesh), Pro (70+ kg, detachable, great for long windows), Sleek (40+ kg, boxless for tight recesses and rubbish chutes), Base (20+ kg, for chill pets and insects) and Door (70+ kg for balcony and sliding doors). Mesh choices are pet mesh for active cats, stainless steel 316 for calmer cats who want the view, and reinforced 316 on the Sleek. Windows are drill-free with tape and silicone, we fit around existing grilles and blinds, and warranty is 1 year with the first 6 months of service free.
3. Clario
Clario has done more than anyone to put "invisible" mesh in front of Singapore families, through demos, fairs and social media. Their retail listing describes a high-transparency mesh positioned as an alternative to metal grilles for HDB homes, in three variants (Guard, View and Shield), plus a Duo version that combines the mesh with built-in blinds for light control. The listing does not state a load rating or warranty, so ask for both at the demo. If a Clario demo impressed you, our Pro is the like-for-like model to compare it against, and our Clario vs MeshMates and Clario alternatives pieces go deeper.
4. BlindNet
BlindNet's cat mesh is a retractable roller rated on their site to hold up to 80 kg, with a built-in key lock, a removable mesh box, and a two-roller centre-opening design for wide openings up to about 12 m. Four frame colours are offered and the site notes no permanent drilling into walls. Their 2-in-1 blind plus mesh is a neat answer if you were buying blinds anyway, and everything comes with a 3-year warranty. Ubi showroom if you want to see it first.
5. Luxus
Luxus markets its retractable screens as invisible mesh on a slim 3 cm frame in two formats: Veltra Slim, with no protruding box, and Veltra Pro with a mesh box for larger openings. For cat homes the relevant option is their tear-resistant stainless steel mesh, described as pet-proof and made to withstand scratching or climbing, on panels up to 1,200 mm wide and 2,000 mm tall. Frames come in matte black, grey and white, professional installation is included, warranty is 1 year, and there are showrooms in Woodlands, Tampines and Ubi if you want to see it first. No load rating is published.
6. Irusu
Irusu carries one of the wider ranges here, and marks four models as pet-safe: Latch (with an optional child lock add-on), Duo-lock V2 (scroll lock and allen key lock), Slide (key lock, with a hard steel mesh described as bite-resistant, so it suits birds too) and MAXL (soft-closing, dust-resistant hard steel mesh). Load ratings and warranty are not published on the pages we checked, so ask. Their showroom is at LTC Building B in Macpherson, open Monday to Saturday, which makes them one of the easier options to compare in person.
7. Oneko
Oneko is a newer, social-media-driven option with two cat-relevant products. The Classic Retractable Mesh uses a durable, tear-resistant polyester in three densities, with the higher density described as stronger against cat claws, a double lock you press on both sides to open, and a detachable mesh for cleaning, in four colours. The Premium Sliding Mesh steps up to PVC-coated polyester, is described as suitable for cats that climb, is stated to withstand up to 50 kg, and adds a combination lock with an optional allen key lock. Installation method and warranty are not published on their site.
8. Mozziefy
Mozziefy gives you three pet-friendly formats: retractable (heavy-duty polyester), sliding (tear-resistant, scratch-proof mesh in several colours) and swing (stainless steel 316). All offer locks, and each format has its own warranty (1, 3 and 2 years, mesh excluded). They also do sliding and retractable door screens, so windows and a balcony door can come from one place.
9. BlindXpert
BlindXpert's BX MultiPro Screen combines a window screen with a roller blind, with a choice of HD insect screen or anti-scratch pet mesh, and removable screens for cleaning, with the price depending on size, material and configuration. Good fit if you want mesh and a blind in one frame and would rather have one installer for both.
10. The Cat People (safety nets)
The Cat People is different from everyone else on this list: they install UV-treated cat safety nets rather than framed mesh, on balconies, roof terraces, windows, gates and service yards, alongside catification and cat behaviour services. Nets are the least visible option and can cover awkward shapes framed mesh cannot. Nets are usually the cheaper option per opening, and our cat mesh vs cat safety net comparison covers when each makes sense.
What matters most for a cat home
Load rating first. A 5 kg cat leaping at a screen or leaning on it while it watches birds puts far more force on the frame than 5 kg. That is why we publish 50+ kg as the baseline and 70+ kg for super active cats, and why "tested for cats up to X kg" and "holds X kg" are not the same claim. Our strongest window mesh guide walks through the difference.
Then the mesh material. Coated pet mesh takes scratching best but is darker. Stainless steel 316 is clear and corrosion resistant, fine for cats who do not claw. Plain polyester is the clearest but not for scratchers, as we explain in polyester mesh for cats. Fibreglass is an insect mesh and tears under claws.
Then every opening. Toilet vents, kitchen windows and the service yard count. A fall from a high floor happens through whichever window was left uncovered.
Then the lock and the exit plan. A retractable screen without a lock can be nosed open. And if you rent, ask what happens to the frame and the window at tenancy end.

Frequently asked questions
Which cat mesh in Singapore is the strongest?
By published number, BlindNet states up to 80 kg, our Pro and Door are rated 70+ kg, Core 50+ kg, and Oneko states up to 50 kg for its Premium Sliding Mesh. Magic Cat Mesh describes its mesh as strong enough for cats up to 20 kg. Clario, Luxus, Irusu, Mozziefy and BlindXpert do not publish a figure on the pages we checked. Providers measure differently, so ask how a figure was tested and whether it refers to the cat's weight or the force on the frame.
How much does cat mesh cost in Singapore?
Most of the ten quote after a site visit or from photos, so there is no single number to compare, and we do not publish prices in our articles. Framed cat mesh costs more per opening than a safety net and less than a full grille package. Whole-flat totals depend on the number and size of openings, so send the same list of windows to two or three providers; our guide to what drives a window mesh quote covers what to look for.
Is drill-free cat mesh strong enough?
Yes, if the frame is designed for it. Our Core and Pro are fitted with tape and silicone on windows and still carry 50+ and 70+ kg ratings, and several other providers here also install drill-free. The exceptions are doors and some balcony openings, where drilling is usually the safer route. Ask each installer which method they use on your specific openings.
Should I choose framed mesh or a safety net?
Framed retractable mesh suits windows you open daily, keeps insects out, and can be rolled away. Nets suit balconies, odd shapes and places where you want the least visible barrier. Some homes use both: mesh on windows and a net across the balcony. Our cat mesh vs safety net comparison goes through the trade-offs in detail.
