Clario Mesh Alternatives in Singapore: 5 Brands to Compare Before You Buy (2026)

Considering Clario window mesh? Here are 5 alternatives in Singapore worth comparing first, what each brand does well, and how their products differ.

Clario has done a great job putting window mesh on Singapore's radar. Between the viral videos, the baby fair booths and the Pet Expo appearances, plenty of homeowners now know that "invisible" mesh exists, and plenty of them are searching for alternatives before committing.

That's a smart instinct. Window mesh is a stay-for-years purchase, and the brand with the best marketing isn't automatically the best fit for your windows, your cat, or your budget.

We'll keep the facts straight and tell you what each brand does well, because we'd rather you compare properly than buy blind, whether from us or anyone else.

Why compare beyond one brand?

A few practical reasons.

  • Quotes vary a lot for the same window. Two providers can quote very differently for the same opening. You'll only know by getting more than one.
  • Mesh materials are not interchangeable. Clario's product is a high-transparency polyester. Other brands offer stainless steel 316, PVC-coated pet mesh and reinforced weaves, and the right one depends on your cat, not the brochure. Our best mesh material guide breaks this down.
  • Your windows might not be standard. Existing grilles, moving blinds, louvres and tight recesses rule some providers out entirely. Always ask before you pay a deposit.

1. Magic Cat Mesh

Magic Cat Mesh has focused squarely on cat safety since 2019. Their scratch-resistant mesh is tested for cats up to 20 kg, and their spin lock system stops cats (and curious kids) from sliding the screen open. They cover both windows and balconies, and the drill-free, removable installation meets HDB guidelines, which also makes them workable for rental homes.

If cat safety is your single biggest concern and you want a brand that lives and breathes it, they belong on your shortlist.

2. MeshMates

MeshMates offers five retractable mesh models, covering budgets from insect-only to heavy-duty cat protection: Base (20+ kg), Sleek (40+ kg, boxless, fits tight spaces), Core (50+ kg, our most popular), and Pro and Door (both 70+ kg).

If Clario's demo impressed you, the closest match in our range is the Pro: the same 70+ kg load class with a high-transparency polyester option.

Where we differ most from Clario is material choice and flexibility. You can pair frames with polyester, stainless steel 316, pet mesh for active cats, sunshade or blackout mesh, or the reinforced stainless steel 316 on the Sleek that can take even pen-knife cuts. We also install around existing grilles and moving blinds, and our standard installation is drill-free.

3. BlindNet

BlindNet's specialty is combining blinds and mesh: their 2-in-1 system puts a blind and an insect screen in the same frame, which is worth a look if you were planning to buy both anyway. They also sell standalone insect screens and a cat mesh their site rates to hold up to 80 kg.

Their products are made in-house at their own factory, come with a 3-year warranty, and you can see them at their Ubi showroom before committing.

4. Irusu

Irusu carries one of the wider ranges in this list: seven screen models (including sliding, trackless and 2-in-1 designs), each available in insect screening or scratch-resistant pet screening.

They run a walk-in showroom near Macpherson MRT (Monday to Saturday), which is the easiest way to compare screens physically without waiting for a home demo, and delivery and installation is free for orders of two or more panels.

5. Luxus

Luxus sits closest to Clario in style, since their product is also marketed as "invisible mesh". Their retractable system uses a 3 cm frame in two formats: a boxless Slim version for windows under 75 cm, and a Pro version with a mesh box for everything else. Mesh choices are a clear polyester or a tear-resistant stainless steel marketed as pet-proof, in three frame colours including matte black.

They run showrooms in Woodlands (by appointment), Tampines and Ubi, so like Irusu they're easy to see in person, and their products come with a 1-year warranty.

How to actually compare quotes

Whichever brands you shortlist, compare like for like.

  • Same openings. Count the exact windows and doors, and get every quote for that same list.
  • Same mesh grade. A quote for insect-grade polyester and a quote for heavy-duty pet mesh are not the same product. Ask what material each quote includes.
  • Load rating for your cat. For homes with cats, 50+ kg is the sensible baseline, and 70+ kg for active cats. Our guide to the strongest window mesh explains why the number needs to be so much higher than your cat's weight.
  • Warranty and service. Ask what's covered, for how long, and how replacements are handled after the warranty ends.
  • Installation method. Drilled, taped, or clamped, and whether they'll work around your grilles and blinds.
